Messi is not a complete player, let alone the most complete footballer of all time.

Things that Lionel Messi can’t do properly, or at least not consistently (Important/helpful aspects of the game only) pic.twitter.com/GRewTGWaMF

1. Score goals with his weak foot.
Messi is known for not being able to score many right foot goals; during his career, we’ve seen thousands of plays where he could’ve tried to shot or pass, but decided to keep holding the ball. Clearly harming the team. pic.twitter.com/1GzsyaqFUA

2. Shine in the air.
Scoring headers is a very important characteristic for any attacker. Being able to win a game from the air makes you a very useful player for every single system. Sending a cross to Messi makes no sense the 90% of the time (unless he’s unmarked) pic.twitter.com/uT0E8tevm2

3. Score penalties.
One of the best possibilities to score a goal and give a team the lead is the free shot from the penalty spot. Messi has missed 24 penalties (33%) and he’s known as one of the worse penalty takers in the world. pic.twitter.com/FL1vPai9tx

4. Long shots.
When a team desperately needs a goal, shooting from distance can be the key. Messi doesn’t have enough power/accuracy to surprise the goalkeeper. pic.twitter.com/QfFgBx8G31

5. Crossing
For a winger, create aerial chances is essential. You’ll never see Messi overpacing a full-back and making a cross from the wing. He cuts inside and create plays from the center, never from the wings, doesn’t matter if six players are waiting in the box. pic.twitter.com/zEdSVqBzad

6. Keep posession.
For a good dribbler, take-on when you have to & pass when you have to is very important. When you try to dribble past 4 opponents you’ll obviously end up losing the ball. Messi is one of the most dispossessed players from this century. pic.twitter.com/A2tTZvFvSn

7. Being a leader.
When a team can’t find footballing answers in the adversity, a true leader has to step up and make the players strong again. The mentality is very important in the sport, and it’s something that Messi clearly lacks. pic.twitter.com/vQye93hION

8. Clutchness.
The big players have to thrive in the biggest stage. To name a few, Messi couldn’t perform in four finals with Argentina, has never scored in a game where Barcelona got eliminated and his last CL final goal was in 2011. -20 goals in CL quarters–>final. pic.twitter.com/l5H5jClavz

9. Thrive in different systems.
A complete footballer is supposedly able to perform in any context. Messi has never shown his quality outside Barcelona. With his national team, without a perfect stacked squad, he gets exposed. Look for goal ratio, friendly goals & titles won. pic.twitter.com/S4EzqeN6px

10. Track back.
If a player tracks back/defends in corner kicks, makes a huge impact; when you create zonal superiority, the chances to recover the ball increase. Messi doesn’t track back, not even when he loses the posession and the play can end up in a goal. pic.twitter.com/uqqMWURMuM
