A person commits suicide in Pristina, Police provide details

A person committed suicide on Tuesday morning in the capital, Kosovo Police announced in their daily report.

According to the Police report, the same act is suspected to have been committed with a hunting rifle, which was found at the scene.

As the Police report, it was the family members who found the victim and reported the case to the police station.

At the prosecutor's request, the victim's body was sent for autopsy to the Institute of Forensic Medicine (IML).

Prishtina, 07.04.2026 – 09:40. It is reported that a male Kosovar victim was found by his family without signs of life, who is suspected of having committed suicide by gunfire. A hunting rifle was found and seized at the scene of the incident, which is suspected of being used in the incident. In addition to police units, a medical team also arrived at the scene and determined the victim's death. By decision of the prosecutor, a case was initiated and the victim's body was sent to the IML for autopsy.
