Iranian delegation leaves for Pakistan for "peace talks" with US

An Iranian delegation is heading to Pakistan today to begin negotiations with the US to end the war, Iran's ambassador to Pakistan has confirmed.

They will meet with US Vice President JD Vance in Islamabad on Saturday.

Reza Amiri Moghadam, the Iranian ambassador to Pakistan, writes in X that the talks will be “based on 10 points proposed by Iran.” As we have reported, there is some confusion about what exactly these points are.

Moghadam says the talks will take place "despite the skepticism of Iranian public opinion due to the repeated violations of the ceasefire by the Israeli regime to sabotage the diplomatic initiative."
