Joseph: It is possible for the US to leave KFOR, but it would be a serious mistake

American expert Edward P. Joseph, a lecturer at Johns Hopkins University in the USA, stated in a live broadcast with "Rretheqark" by Rosalba Bejdo on A2CNN that a possible withdrawal of American troops from KFOR would be a very serious mistake.

The American expert noted that President Donald Trump is unpredictable and such a move is not ruled out. However, he stressed that such an action would affect the instability of Kosovo and the entire region.

"If the US were to withdraw from KFOR, it would be a very serious mistake and I hope the US does not do this. It would be a very serious mistake and I have raised this with State Department officials and members of Congress. I have also written a letter to Secretary Rubio, asking the administration not to withdraw troops from KFOR, but with Trump you never know what he will do, he is very unpredictable. It is possible that they will, but it would be a serious mistake for the US to do this and it would invite instability in Kosovo and the region", said Joseph.
