Nexhi from Kosovo questions the authenticity of images from the Artemis II mission, NASA responds
A comment made by Nexhi Krasniqi, a citizen from Kosovo, on a NASA post on social media has also attracted the attention of the American National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
Nexhi questioned the authenticity of some images of the moon published by NASA and taken during the Artemis II mission.
In the post featuring images taken by the Orion spacecraft during its flight around the far side of the Moon, the citizen from Kosovo asked why the stars were not visible in the photograph and suggested that the images could have been created by artificial intelligence.
"Why aren't the stars visible from this position? I suspect it was created by artificial intelligence!" he wrote in the comment.
NASA's response was swift. After just five minutes, NASA responded directly, explaining the scientific reason behind the lack of stars in view.
"We can't see the stars in these images because the stars appear relatively faint compared to the Moon, which is much closer and reflects much more light. Cameras can only capture a certain range between the brightest and darkest parts of a scene."
