PDK supports the protest of Albanian students in North Macedonia

The Democratic Party of Kosovo has come out in support of the protest of Albanian students in North Macedonia.

The PDK statement states that they stand in solidarity with the demands of these students, who have protested today for the right to use the Albanian language in educational and professional processes, namely for the jurisprudence exam.

"The right to education and assessment in the mother tongue is guaranteed by the legal and constitutional framework of North Macedonia, as well as by international human rights standards. Violating this right constitutes a violation of the principles of equality, as well as an attack on human dignity and Albanian national identity," the statement reads.

The Democratic Party of Kosovo calls on the responsible institutions there to treat the demands of Albanian students seriously and, as this party said, to take the necessary steps for the full implementation of the rights guaranteed by law.
