Simeone after historic victory at Camp Nou: Barcelona is probably the best in Europe

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone shared his thoughts after the historic 2-0 away win over Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.

Simeone feels happy with the big win away to Barcelona, ​​describing it as a good result, but also knowing the risk of a comeback in the return leg a week later at the Metropolitano.

Reflecting on the nature of the victory, Simeone noted: "I can tell a thousand stories of games where we had 30 shots and didn't score. Football is beautiful because the final result is what matters. "We knew what they were creating with their high defensive line and we worked well. We took advantage of those situations, as we have done in almost every game. It was difficult because their pressing was excellent, taking our time. They had won 22 of their last 23 games, scoring in every one of them."

Looking ahead to the return leg, the Argentine coach remained cautious.
