US warning on Albania's security, Nufi: There is no room for panic, but for vigilance
The United States Embassy in Tirana has reacted regarding the security situation in Albania in the context of international developments.
For Euronews Albania, the Embassy emphasizes that the safety and protection of American citizens remains a top priority.
“The Trump Administration has no higher priority than the safety and security of American citizens. We are working closely with Albanian authorities to assess the situation and mitigate security risks. The U.S. Embassy values its close cooperation on security matters with the Government of Albania, which has demonstrated a continued commitment to ensuring the safety of American citizens and Albania. We will provide more information as it becomes available,” the response states.
The Public Relations Section of the US Embassy in Tirana emphasizes that cooperation with Albanian authorities is key to managing any risk and ensuring the protection of citizens.
Albanian Minister of Defense, Ermal Nufi, regarding the warning that the US Embassy had sent a few days ago to inform citizens about security measures and possible dangers from Iran.
In his full statement, Minister Nufi emphasizes:
"The US Embassy's announcement is a standard practice announcement, distributed not only to Albania, but also to other countries, and should not be interpreted as a reason for panic. This, of course, does not mean that we are not treating it with the utmost seriousness."
"Our security institutions are constantly following any information, while operational and intelligence services cooperate every day to identify and neutralize any potential risk, in close coordination with our allies and partners. Albania remains in constant communication with the US government and partner structures on any security-related developments."

Our security system is fully committed to guaranteeing order and protecting citizens in every public space.
