The thief raises concerns about the danger to the media: Main source LVV

Media lawyer Flutura Kusari said that attacks on journalists have quadrupled in the past year since Prime Minister Albin Kurti came to power.

"Until 2020-2021, the AGK once documented about 20 attacks per year on journalists, this number has almost quadrupled, so the figures show that attacks on journalists have increased, so the current main source is Vetëvendosje, my fear is that when it has been seen in other countries that when so much bad talk is made about the media, they are dehumanized," she said, raising concerns about the danger to the media, she said in "Click".

Furthermore, Kusari said that Kurti's statement today is a continuation of the agenda of LVV, Prime Minister Kurti and his government.

"To reinforce the narrative that the main enemy of Kosovo is the media, and what I saw is that he wants to portray journalists and the media as political opponents and secondly because it is a somewhat effective strategy to delegitimize critical voices," said Kusari.

Kusari added that he was somewhat surprised by this because a few days ago there was a Council of Europe delegation in Kosovo, which found that media freedom in Kosovo has deteriorated.

"And one factor according to them was the delegitimizing language of the LVV, ... I wasn't too surprised, but of course I had expectations that the prime minister and the government would reflect, but that didn't happen," she said.
