KEK workers did not receive their 13th salary, Union: Prime Minister, we are Kosovo too
Trade unionists of the Kosovo Energy Corporation have reacted to the Government of Kosovo for not distributing the 13th salary to KEK workers.
The New KEK Union has said that this executive decision excludes workers from this corporation, but also from several other enterprises.
"We are Kosovo too! We are the ones who work every day without stopping, in difficult conditions, amidst danger and sacrifice, to keep the light on in every home in this country. We are not just workers – we are the pillars that keep Kosovo functional. We have families. We have children in schools. We have sick parents. We have troubles and challenges like every other citizen. But, despite everything, we never stop. KEK workers are among the largest contributors to the state budget, generating millions of euros every year," their response states.
This union has said that KEK workers are being unfairly left aside.
Against this, they have announced the holding of a conference for Thursday, in front of the Kosovo Government building.
