US warns: Targets in Albania could become targets of pro-Iranian groups
The US Embassy in Tirana has warned that groups linked to Iran may target US-affiliated entities in Albania.
In a Facebook post, the embassy said that elements of the Iranian opposition who are based in Albanian territory could also be targeted.
"Iran-linked groups may target entities linked to the United States or Iranian opposition elements in Albania."
"They can also target common places, such as tourist sites, shopping malls, hotels, clubs and restaurants."
The embassy encouraged American citizens to be extra vigilant.
