Constitution Day, Rama: Reflection on Kosovo's journey towards freedom, state-building and democratic consolidation

Today marks 18 years since the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo. It was ratified on April 9, 2008 and entered into force on June 15 of the same year.

The Mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama, said in a Facebook post that this day is commemorated as 'a moment of reflection on Kosovo's journey towards freedom, state-building and democratic consolidation'.

"We commemorate this day as a moment of reflection on Kosovo's journey towards freedom, state-building and democratic consolidation, honoring the sacrifice and dedication of the generations that made this reality possible," Rama writes.

On Constitution Day, I express my highest respect for the fundamental act that has determined the direction, values, and democratic order of the Republic of Kosovo.
